HoH Comp. Guidelines

  • Sign up using this Google Form
  • The Google Form used for submissions will change every month. Please follow us on social media to stay updated on these changes.
  • Submissions should be no more than 500 words.
  • There are three topics each month, please focus on only one to write about.
  • Only one submission per month by the same person will be accepted. If there are multiple entries, only the most recent entry before the deadline will be considered.

Timeline Of Submissions

All entries corresponding to the month listed in our ‘Monthly Topic Options’ section will be open for submissions the month prior in order to release selected entries during the month of those events/themes. For example, submissions for our April 2021 competition will open and be finalised in March 2021 for publication in April 2021.

1st of the month, 12:00amSubmissions open; please use corresponding Google Form to send in your entries (will be made available here)
14th of the month, 11:59pmSubmissions close. No entries made past this deadline will be accepted.
20th of the month, 11:59pmJudging for the entry period will be complete. All selected candidates will be contacted.
1st of the following monthWinners will be publicly announced, and submissions for the next month will be opened.

Monthly Topic Options

Each of our topics correspond to an event/theme that is recognized that month in Canada. You may write on any one of three monthly topics in your submissions.
